Congrats Michelle! You are great! The young dutch athlete, Michelle Dekker, secured her first World Cup podium, celebrating a second rank at the PSL in Bad Gastein, Austria. Michelle explained: “It was a good race. I’m really happy about my first ever podium. Now, I’m excited to race the next World Cup race in Rogla end of the month. I hope I can do the same thing there.“ We are so proud!

GOLD! BEST CARVER IN BANSKO IS SYLVAIN DUFOUR
Snowboard World Cup in Bansko, Bulgaria: Our 27-year-old french SG PRO TEAM-rider Sylvain Dufour stood out in the parallel giant slalom. „I loved it today! Winning here is an amazing feeling. You had to fight a lot today, I’m so happy“, he said. Facing challenging conditions, Sylvain brought home gold thanks to a superb carving technique infront of more than 5.000 spectators. Congratulations Monsieur „Carve“ Sylvain Dufour for his magnificent comeback!

FIRST PODIUM PLACE FOR STEFAN BAUMEISTER
Well done Stefan! Congrats to Stefan Baumeister (GER) who earned his career’s first podium finish on the World Cup tour at the PGS in Bansko, Bulgaria. Podium is a nice place! The alpine snowboard World Cup tour continues in Bokwang, Korea where the official Olympic test event (PGS) for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang will take place on February 12, 2017.

He is back! Congratulations Pierre Vaultier! Olympic champion Pierre Vaultier earning his career’s 19th win. After winning every heat by far, he nails the final win in La Molina. Pierre explained: „I didn’t expect to win here. The start of the season was complicated but then I figured out to be back on the podium in the last races. This win prior to the world champs is great. ESTER LEDECKA IS BACK!
Ester Ledecka (CZE) grabs PGS wins in Pyeongchang! At the first of two parallel giant slalom races at the 2018 Olympic venue at PyeongChang’s Bokwang Phoenix Park Ester wins the 1st place. It was truly a special race for her, it was the first snowboard World Cup race since December. Despite spending the first month and a half of 2019 on the Alpine Ski World Cup tour, Ester wouldn’t miss the first competition back at the venue that earned her the status of one of all-time great Olympians last year. “I feel good. It was a great race,” said Ledecka from the awards podium, “A very well-prepared course, so thanks to everybody for that, and thanks to all the fans for such a great atmosphere. It’s fun to be here.” And the next day she earns the 3rd place at the second PGS in Pyeongchang. Awesome!

Winterberg, GER: Our SG PRO TEAM rider from Russia Andrey Sobolev was able to hold on for the overall win, finishing the season with 4,625 points – well clear of second overall Tim Mastnak (SLO) and his tally of 4,116. “I still can’t believe I won the overall globe,” Andrey said. “It’s the most important thing a World Cup athlete can win and I’m extremely excited about this. My season wasn’t the best – in world championships I didn’t do so well and I wasn’t the most consistent, but still to win the overall is amazing.” Well done! Very good work Andrey! Bravo!

The 21-years old Austrian snowboarder from Carinthia is a new member of the SG PRO TEAM. From now on she will conquer the world cup races with her black SG FULL RACE PRO TEAM snowboard. Daniela is very well known in the sports scene. She is PSL-Worldchampion (Sierra Nevada, 2017) and won the Small Crystal Globe at the mixed team race last season. Returning to snowboard racing for the first time in the current World Cup campaign, Ester Ledecka won second place at her 2019/20 season debut. What an incredible job! She showed how fast she’s able to switch disciplines as she was coming from last weekend’s FIS Alpine Ski World Cup speed event. “It was quite a busy schedule and I only had one day break to get back on snowboard,” said Ester. “Of course I’m very happy with my result here and I would like to thank my team, but also the organisers because they did an amazing job and it was really fun to ride here.” We are so happy!
